Missing Music; Kiddo & Little Bit Updates

It's amazing how you can become so reliant upon a little piece of technology. I left my iPod at home this morning and I cannot tell you how I am suffering for this little oversight. I need music. Even though I have a few things on my computer I could listen to, I don't have my ragtime or classical or opera; the music that gets me through the quiet early mornings at my office. So now I've got to be content to listen to the white noise maker thing in the ceiling. Frankly that's just irritating because when there's nothing else to listen to I do actually find myself listening to the static. Although - now that I have actually looked at what music I have on my computer - I see that I have 2 CDs on there called 50 Classical Masterpieces! It's not exactly what I wanted, but it sure will do in a pinch! I remember now, that one of the ladies I work with let me rip these CDs to my computer almost 2 years ago! I didn't remember I had them until I really looked - so that was a pleasant surprise. On another note, I'm very happy that today is Thursday. That means that tomorrow is Friday and then...miracle of miracles...the weekend! I've got a few things I really need to do this weekend, like finish the laundry and vacuum up the dust rhinoceri (like dust bunnies, only bigger and meaner). Everyone is fine. Kiddo didn't feel all that well on Tuesday and spent yesterday at home pretending to be sick, when he really was fine. He probably got a little stomach bug or something (we had to explain to him that a bug didn't mean a little crawly thing with legs and antennae), but I think it's more likely that he had some drainage that made him toss the contents of his stomach two or three times. Yum. In the car, too! Poor Hubby had to clean that up. Kiddo's fine now and raring to go. He's excited about school today and seems to think that he's been out forever with a terrible disease! Little Bit is oblivious to her upcoming birthday - which is good, because I still don't have a clue what we're going to do for her. Probably nothing - which sounds awful but she'll just be 2 and I doubt we'll scar her for life if we don't throw her a huge party! TTFN JMS

When did our babies become big kids?! I cannot believe it has been two years since we were having our babies! I guess time really does fly when you are having fun.

I just love that you had to explain the "bug" thing. Wonderful. Just like Liz and My perpetual fear that if we actually swallowed those watermelon seeds they would grow a vine in our tummies that would eventually burst out of our mouths...

I remember my dad finally debunking that myth. I remember being kinda disappointed... Does that mean I liked living life dangerously with my watermelon seeds?

Don't let him watch any of the alien movies! EVER!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

They scare me ...even now, like, a lot! Cool, but scary.

Love, UB

You could just have a nice dinner at home with a birthday cake and let her blow out the candles. Open one or two small gifts from the family. That's what I'd do. At least she'll know it's a special day, but you don't need a big party.
